Fortitech has announced the appointment of Brian Scutt to the position of general manager for the company’s Malaysian facility. Reporting directly to Fortitech chief executive officer, Walter S. Borisenok, Mr Scutt will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations including manufacturing, technical, purchasing, finance and sales for the Asia Pacific region.
Mr Scutt arrives at Fortitech from the Gold Coin Group where, as specialty nutrition director, he was instrumental in developing the company's vision and strategy to enter the marketplace in China as well as other parts of Asia.

“His extensive experience in managing international operations and distribution networks, specifically in Asia, accompanied with his solid track record for developing new markets will greatly enhance our efforts to serve our customers and expand our business in this growing region of the world. He is a very talented individual and we look forward to his contributions as we continue to grow.”
In addition to his position with Gold Coin, Mr Scutt’s career has spanned more than 15 years with companies such as DSM, Hoffmann-La Roche and Bayer. During his time with DSM, his strong leadership skills enabled him to quickly rise through the ranks where he was ultimately named general manager and managing director, respectively, for the company’s operations in Vietnam and Australia. His areas of responsibility encompassed Food, Pharmaceuticals, Personal Care and Animal Nutrition.
Mr Scutt also served as the division manager for vitamins and fine chemicals with Hoffmann-La Roche in Vietnam and as the manager for the technical department of the animal health division of Bayer Vietnam.
Mr Scutt received his Master’s degree in business and technology from the University of New South Wales and his Bachelor’s degree in veterinary sciences from the University of Queensland.
