We at NZFT know there are plenty of our readers whose professional life is meat – meat processors, suppliers of equipment etc – and many absolutely love all things meat so here’s something just a little different to allow you to relax among like-minded in the downtime – Meatstock 2025.

After an epic return to New Zealand last year, Meatstock Hamilton 2025 will rock the fields of Mystery Creek with another fiery, fun-filled sensory explosion February 14-15. With an attendance of over 14,000 Kiwis across two huge days celebrating the local barbecue and music scene in 2024, next year promises to be bigger and better than ever say show organisers.

“Meatstock isn’t just about eating incredible barbecue. It’s about united passion for the craft of barbecue and the culture that comes with it. It’s a weekend of like-minded people, with lots of families, hanging out, camping together and enjoying the best local food, great music and really fun entertainment. The energy is amazing in New Zealand,” says Jay Beaumont, director of Meatstock

And what better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day 2025 than rocking out with your loved ones at the Jack Daniel’s live stage, featuring the beats of Salmonella Dub Sound System, Coterie, Ladyhawke, Muri, and Mirage on Friday and on Saturday the festival’s headliner, Shapeshifter, joined by local gems Devilskin, Kora, Masaya, Coridian, and more.

In the BBQ pit yard, national and international teams will battle it out in the BBQ Wars to be the best of the best in their specific protein category, while the butchers do the same in their own meat-filled fight, the Butcher Wars.
